Well, preparations for the 809 Gallery of Art's international exhibition "20 Nations, 20 Artists, 20 Works" are almost complete. I still have the invitions to print and address, and I need to write the brochure and get it to the printer, but for the most part, things are running smoothly. I've hired on extra staff at the gallery and gotten volunteers from the community to help distribute posters and run errands.
I've received 18 of the 20 works as of 7/13. I'm particularly excited to learn that our Egyptian and Canadian artists have made arrangements to be here for the opening reception on August 1. I'll have to make sure there's plenty of good food and beverages to go around - it looks like this is going to be the largest reception my gallery has ever had, and I'm very excited about it! :)
The only mishap so far is that the canvas stretcher on the French entry was broken in the post, but we'll soon have that repaired - thank goodness the art itself was not damaged. Most of the entries that have been received have already been framed and are ready to be hung.
A regional arts magazine is writing a feature story about this exhibition, complete with photographs of some of the work, and the media in the area is getting very excited about the show. I'm still trying to nail down television coverage, but I don't think that's going to be a problem.
I apologise for being on DeviantArt so seldom these days - there's a lot of work involved in putting together a show like this one, and it's taking up a lot more of my free time than I'd anticipated.

I'd like to include a photograph and a couple of sentences of biographical information about each of the exhibitors in the brochure, so if I haven't asked you for that, if you'd provide me that information, it would be greatly appreciated. Also, if you'd like your work to be available for sale and I haven't nailed down a price with you, please let me know and we'll get that sorted out. I'll send each exhibitor a copy of the exhibition brochure after opening night. :)

Here's the run-down on how the show is going so far - the notes are so that we can keep track of the progress on what needs to be done with each exhibitor (updated 7/17):

It sounds like a wonderful time. You do what you need to do to get this show of the ground. Sounds like you have started a new art movement. May this show be the 1st of many to come.
Don't worry about dA. Clear the board if you have to.

So sorry about the French entry being damage during shipping, but am glad you can get it repaired.
