Just a horse. 9" by 12", watercolour. My next show is near Augusta, and there are a lot of "horse people" in that area, so I figured I'd better have a few horse paintings when I go. :)

Wow - I love all your work, to be sure! But this one nailed something special, not sure why; maybe the placement of the horse, or the richness of the colours despite being watercolour, or the very nicely placed details here. But it is lovely and I'm very much a fan! :heart: I typically like a horse with more jowl (er...am I being too horsey here?) definition, I rarely see any horse so straight up from tuck up from the chin straight up to the neck like that but that is the only anatomical sort of thing I might suggest tweaking, and even without it's lovely! I'm sure the folks in Augusta, wherever that is, will be very excited. :)
