This is a cat. Another of yesterday's works, a watercolour commission, 5" by 7" (12.5cm by 17.5cm).
The fuzzy stripes were not as difficult as they look - I started with a small ruined flat brush (the bristles had seperated) and did the stripes with nearly-dry paint in quick back and forth strokes, almost like scrubbing. Then I added the light grey and umber wash over it.  |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
