Blacky

This is one of last week's paintings; this pooch belongs to ; the reference photo can be found here: [link] These days, I don't get much free time to paint for fun, but this one was for fun, really. In the photo, the highlights have a bluish tint to them. Normally, I'd grey the blue highlights, but in this case, I thought it might be interesting to keep the highlights blue, and I think it works pretty well.
This is watercolour, 7" by 8".
