Bichon Frise by RamonaQ Bichon Frise by RamonaQ
This little bichon was another commission, from a lady who ordered two paintings - the other is a black miniature poodle. She'd have been hard-pressed to have requested more difficult dogs. :D
This is 5" by 7", watercolour.

:D It's funny you mention that - there are so many dogs that come in a variety of colours. Brindles, parti-colour, tri-colour...you'd think they'd make black bichons.

:giggle: I've learned that if I want it, it probably isn't available or they don't make it in that style, breed, or color. But, you are talking to a woman with an unerring instinct to find the most expensive jewelry, clothing, horse, car, etc. that is both exquisite and simplistic within seconds of walking into the store, barn, garage, kennel, cattery, etc. Born with a billionaire's taste on a beer budget.

:lmao: Ah, it's all a matter of priorities. :D I had a fellow who came into the gallery yesterday and he said he was sick of buying a bunch of throw-away knick-knacks and thought he'd have a look at something a little higher grade. :D Made me feel quite good, actually. ^_^

the two worst and best colors to do on/with anything are probably white and black. which is why i love this one so much! ^-^
i think my cousin's dog is this breed....i keep forgetting, but i do remember them saying that he's bigger than usual for his breed.

^_^ Thanks very much! I definitely agree - in blacks and whites it's really hard to give the illusion of detail.
